Thinking

I have been doing alot of that since I got laid off from the call center in December.

I have done a lot of soul searching about what I want to do when I grow up.

I really wanted to do my photography but have to realistic.

If I lived in a large city it might fly but here everyone and his dog does it and unfortunately I probably wouldn't be able to make a real living at it so for now I will do this as one of my favorite hobbies..

I have thought I might want to venture into health care and more specifically into massage therapy.

Not the spa type massage but more therapeutic(people with back, knee, shoulder etc) problems and with our population getting older there is always going to be the need for this type of service.

I am a real people person and hated that in my previous job I never had anything really tangible to show for my work besides a paper with numbers on it.

There are so many directions you could go with including pregnancy, infant, animal therapy it just amazes me.

There is an excellent school here and I am going for a visit on Monday to see what they have to offer.

It is a 18 month course and it is pricey(about 16 000 dollars)but on Tuesday I am going into a career councillor to see if I qualify to have the government help me with the tuition.

I think they should seeing that I had paid into EI and everything else and hadn't been on any government program in 18 years(since I was home with Stephanie, when she was a baby)

The classes wouldn't start until October so I thought I would get a jump on things and get the ball rolling..

Wish me luck:)

I joined my first exchange and have my partners piece all set to go.

All I have to do is mail it and we are good to go.

I will post a picture after she receives it.

I also finished a crocheted blanket.

Gosh I thought it would never end. I thought I would go until the yarn was gone but it just got too heavy so I did one last row last night and the edge and it is done like yesterday's dinner.

The girls are both coming over Sunday to visit and do laundry:)

I guess it has been a while since I used a coin operated machine but I think it is crazy to have to spend 12-15 dollars a week..

I told the girls that they could do their laundry here where it wouldn't cost them a thing.

Kind of killing 2 birds with one stone..they get clean clothes and get to see their most favorite parents in the whole wide world:)

At least that is what I keep telling them..lol...then the eyeball rolling starts:)

You are so right Carolyn. With the aging population, massage therapy seems to be booming. I think it's a great idea to inquire about it.
Good luck!

Did you type $16,000.00???? That is just CRAZY! I know that here in NS, they do have support if you want to go back to school so definitely check it out while you're on EI. That would be awesome and I wish you luck :o)
