I am back among the working as of 2 weeks ago..and have gone back "home"..
I posted a while ago that I wanted to return to school to become a massage therapist.
All was going great. Met with the school, met with the career councillor regarding the funding that was available and all that fun stuff.
As part of the funding and applying to school I had to get letters of reference and do some research from people in the field.
It seems that there are more massage therapists here than people in this city and those who are working don't make as much as I heard and those that do aren't hiring so after thinking about it I threw that thought of that out the window.
Why would I put all the time and effort into getting an education in a field that I wouldn't be able to work in when I was done?

I have always worked with little ones and loved it and the only reason that I left was because there was no money in it(there is alot more now) and that is when I went to the call center.
I went to talk to my friend who taught me my Early Childhood Education and now owns the daycare I used to work at and we got around to talking about her needing staff in the fall because a couple of her girls were going on maternity leave and my ears kind of perked up.
I didn't say anything but after thinking about it and talking with Wade about it all weekend I called her Monday and asked if she still needed people.
I told her I would be available if she wanted me and I think she just about jumped through the phone..she was so surprised that I would even think about coming back let alone asking for job...and she hired me right then.
The girls are so nice that work there although I am a bit older than most(they are pretty much in their early 20's and lets just say I'm not)
I am so excited because I get to work with the babies and toddlers...which is my favorite age group..
It was weird to get back though after being off for so long but in a good way..
I do have to say though that it only took me 3 days to pick up some of the germs that little ones love to share and I caught my first cold which is almost gone(thank goodness)
In other news from my house-I have one of my girls back home.
At the start of June Amanda moved back home..the whole my best friend and"his" boyfriend thing just didn't work out.Turns out the boys were doing lots of stuff they shouldn't (some illegal-and some just strange)and she was miserable so off we went and pulled her out of there..
With all this going on I have has zero time to stitch which is something I am going to be working on that's for sure
